Oil Changes & Car Maintenance in Hammond, LA

If you drive I-12 or I-55 every day, the miles add up fast. We keep your oil changes and scheduled maintenance on track so the car keeps up with you.

Oil changes

We change the oil and filter with the oil your engine calls for: conventional, synthetic blend or full synthetic. Most newer engines need a specific oil, and the right one is in your owner's manual or on the oil cap. We'll check it for you.

How often? Follow your oil life monitor or the manual. If most of your driving is short trips around town, stop-and-go on Thomas St or Morris Ave, or towing, your car may need it sooner. If you commute to Baton Rouge or the Northshore every day, you'll hit the mileage faster than you think.

Scheduled maintenance

Your car's manufacturer lists what's due at each mileage and how often by time. We go by that list and what we see on your car, and we tell you what's due now and what can wait. That can include:

Severe service and why it matters here

Most owner's manuals have a normal schedule and a severe one. Heat, humidity, short trips, lots of idling and towing all count as severe. A truck that pulls a boat to the lake on weekends, or a car that sits in traffic on I-12, may need fluids and filters sooner than the normal schedule says.

Tell us what was done last

Bring your receipts or just tell us the mileage and what you remember. If we don't know the history, we'll look the car over and give you a short list of what matters most. Every job starts with a free written estimate, and nothing extra gets done without your OK.

Questions we get

Will an oil change here affect my new-car warranty?

No. Federal law doesn't let a manufacturer void your warranty just because an independent shop did the maintenance. Keep your receipts and follow the schedule.

Do I need synthetic oil?

If your owner's manual calls for synthetic, use it. Some engines are designed around it. If it allows conventional, synthetic is an option but not required.

Can you rotate my tires during an oil change?

Yes. Ask when you book and we'll do both while the car is here.
