Tires in Hammond
Call us with your tire size and we'll tell you what we can get and when. We mount, balance and rotate tires at our shop on W Church St.
What size do you need?
Look at the sidewall of your tire for a number like 265/70R17, or check the sticker inside the driver's door. Call (985) 304-8016 with that size and your vehicle, and we'll go from there. Not sure? Bring it by and we'll look it up.
Mounting and balancing
We mount the new tires on your wheels and balance them so the car rides smooth. An out-of-balance tire usually shows up as a shake in the steering wheel at highway speed, which you'll notice fast on I-12 or I-55.
Rotation
Rotating your tires helps them wear evenly and last longer. Your owner's manual lists the interval. Lots of drivers just rotate every other oil change.
When to replace them
- Tread is down to the wear bars
- Cracks, bulges or bubbles in the sidewall
- One edge worn more than the rest
- A tire that keeps losing air
Worn tires and heavy rain are a bad mix. If you're not sure how much tread you have left, stop by and we'll check it.
Tire pressure light
Fill your tires to the pressure on the door sticker. If the light stays on or a tire keeps going low, bring it in and we'll find out why.
We're at 2810 W Church St in Hammond, open Monday through Thursday 7:30 to 5 and Friday 7:30 to 4. Book online or call.
Questions we get
Do you sell tires?
Yes. Call with your size and vehicle and we'll tell you what we can get and when we can put them on.
How often should I rotate my tires?
Follow your owner's manual. Many drivers rotate every 5,000 to 7,500 miles.
Why is my steering wheel shaking at highway speed?
It's often a tire out of balance or a bent wheel. Bring it by and we'll check.
